There Is a Better Way

2017 was my first year as a Loan Officer.

I did 116 units for $21,375,316.

It came entirely from cold calling realtors and anyone who would give me a listen.

I realized very early on that my impact was tied directly to the amount of conversations I had per day.

The more people I talked to, the more loans would follow. Pretty simple.

I had ample motivation. In January of 2017 I found out that my wife was expecting with our first child.

Edith Scout Miller was born on October, 24 2017. My life would never be the same.

I wanted to spend every moment I could with her.

But no one told me that the momentum you create, as a commission based salesperson, is the momentum you must sustain.

If you’re not growing, you’re dying.

I felt I needed to keep working 60+ hrs per week to provide for my new family.

So that I could give her every opportunity in the world.

I ended up missing a lot of dinners. And a decent amount of firsts. It was painful.

If I kept this up I’d be that stereotypical dad that was able to buy cool sh*t but didn’t know my family.

I felt there had to be a better way. So I started looking for a piece of software that could help me create more conversations.

What I found were big box CRMs that focused on data organization rather than conversation creation.

So I decided to build what I needed and tap the genius of Jason Perkins to help (he’s a beast).

We felt that if I needed this, other commissioned-based salespeople would, too.

Fast forward three years and 1,698 other LOs and salespeople agree.

We are on a mission to help advisors and businesses have more fun selling, and create freedom in their lives by simplifying conversions, starting conversations and sustaining relationships.

So that they can spend more time with their families, or do whatever it is they want to do.

Here’s to the next 1,698.

There is a better way.

You don’t have to settle for bad tech. You don’t have to settle for always grinding.

Do more, without doing more and #getbonzo

Spend less time managing conversations and more time having them.
